| Abstract: | An informational packet was sent out to several apartment owners and landlords in Buffalo County. After gathering baseline data we learned to include in the packets information on how to create and enforce policies for their complex. We also included "There is No Legal Right to Smoke" documents which explains what owners/landlords can and can't do legally. The coalition chose to include information on the benefits of having a smoke free complex both for health reasons and economic. All in all, we found this approach to be quite successful in our efforts toward our multi-unit housing campaign. |
